Aaron has been involved in Stockbroking and Investment Banking for 38 years based in Perth, Western Australia, one of the most active mining and resource equity marketplaces in the world. Aaron is one of the most experienced Corporate Advisers in Australia and has led an extensive number of ASX equity capital raisings of all shapes, sizes and descriptions. Over his 34 year career with Patersons Securities, Aaron held a number of leadership roles, including Executive Director and Head of Corporate Finance, during which time the firm was consistently ranked #1 by number of new equity issues and top 10 by value of equity raised. In 2019 Patersons was acquired by the Australian arm of a global stockbroking and investment bank where he worked as Managing Director, Investment Banking for 4.5 years, generating a significant volume of original equity market transactions before retiring from investment banking on Good Friday, 2024. Since 2020, Aaron has been Chairman of Ever Ability Group Limited, the overarching owner of Guide Dogs, Visibility and Kites Therapy in WA and Tasmania, Chairman of The Guide Dog Foundation and a Director of various investment companies. Aaron is happily married to his first wife, has three grown children, has walked the Camino de Santiago, enjoys fine wines and breeds black Angus cattle. He is extremely enthusiastic about the future prospectus of Western Australia believing it to be – “the California of the 21st century”.
